Candy Cane

               One Christmas time when I was with my parents in Illinois at
          Christmas, I  decided to take  a walk.  This  was before I  got a
          dog.  A little girl came up to me and said, "What' that.  AFter a
          pause, as  I was thinking  about how to  best explain, she  said,
          "oh, I know.  It's a candy cane.
