Gas Up And Go

This story happened just recently, and it reminded me again that some
people just don't get it.
We recently moved to a small town just southeast of the Kansas City Area.
Although I had stopped at this particular gas station several times without
incident, there must have been a new girl working at the counter on this
occasion.  I fueled the car and went in to pay.  when it was my turn to be
waited on, the lady asked "are you buy your self?"  I responded "I hope not,
there might not be very many people around here that would like it if I did
that."  Several others in the store at that time joined in the joking to rib
her.  I paid and left.
