double Vision

               Many years ago a friend of  mine was riding a streetcar when
          a man asked him how he could look out the windshield with one eye
          and  out the  left side of  the car  with the  other.   My friend
          excused himself and  covering his face with  his hands, adjusting
          his glass  eyes, removed his hands and said  is that better.  The
          man  said  that's  amazing,  now  you  are  looking  through  the
          windshield with one  eye and out the  right side of the  car with
          the other.  Could you teach me how to do that?
